Website sketch

Hello folks!
I finally decided to get a domain name and publish a website.
The first part was easy: registering the domain, deciding the plan, the host etc.
Now comes the hard part... the design.
The website will work as a web portfolio, some clients don't appreciate the Blog format very much.
And I didn't registered the "Laughing Chimp" name by the way.
The website will be directed towards the Brazilian market, so I chose a name that sounds funny and will attract some attention...
It's Fabrica de Metano - or Methane (gas) Factory, in English.
I sketched some characters that could work with the overall idea of the website.
Hope you enjoy this quick update.
I sure did enjoy sketching it.
Thanks for stopping by.

Easter Sketches

Hello folks, how's everything?
The Easter came and went and thankfully I had some time to get out of the city.
We decided to go to the beach.
I drank a lot of beer, slept a lot, ate a lot of chocolate and even had some time to enjoy the beach and - believe it or not - sketch a little.
Some of the sketches are from life, others from Tv and photographs.
Thanks for stopping by.

Classroom Sketches

Hello folks, Happy Easter!
I was teaching some animal character design stuff this past week. I developed some sketches to show my students the exercise I wanted them to do. You know, exploring shapes, facial expressions, exaggerating scale and proportions, working with "stereotypes" etc. All the fun stuff. Thanks Nick for taking the picture.
I used markers on White Board.
Thank you for stopping by.

Chicken soup for the artist's soul

Hello folks, how have you been?
I've been sick lately, I caught two flu back to back.
The second one really knocked me down. That was a pumped up flu, it came with a side order of sore throat, fever, headaches and nausea. I'm glad it's almost over.
Anyways, in order to keep myself from banging my head against the wall I decided to do some sketching, especially while I was teaching. It helped the healing process.
These are a few of those sketches.
Thanks for stopping by.
