Homage to McQueen


Howdy!
This illustration was part of an exercise I developed for my fashion design students.
It started with the painting of the figure, then the background was added, and finally the line drawing and the logo.
The students were free to choose any fashion designer they wanted for this assignment, including themselves.
I chose McQuenn because he kicked ass. Too bad he's gone.

Collage Demo


Hello folks, this is a 20 minute collage demonstration I did for my students. One of the classes I teach in college is figure drawing for fashion students. It's a fun class.
I used photocopies, glue (obviously), gesso, brown Pilot hi-tec pen, ink, gouache and green highlighter.
It doesn't look great but I thought it was worth sharing with you guys.
